We were approached by none other than the folk at Ann Summers to do a festival tent giveaway. How could we say no?

I wrote this post to promote a marketing survey we ran, with a prize on offer from Play.com. I also co-ordinated the publishing of similar posts across the 30+ Shiny Media blogs.
This post was part of the promotion of the Video Media Talent Award competition Shiny Media ran with LG. The competition offered a Shiny Media internship and a trip to the 3GSM conference to one aspiring presenter and one video editor.
The LG deal was the biggest sponsorship the company had brought in, and my work in this area included managing the promotional content for the VMTAs across the network.
Part of Shiny Media’s sponsorship deal with LG, CityClickers was set up in conjunction with Moblog:UK to capture stylish people and places across Europe. The CityClickers competition was run in alliance with blog networks from France, Germany, Spain, the Netherlands and the UK. The two winners from each country won an LG Viewty phone and had their phone bills paid for two months.
My work on CityClickers included: co-ordinating the competition’s promotion across Shiny Media’s sites; acting as the liaison between the competition winners and the account manager; ensuring the winners continued to provide content to the CityClickers moblog for the two months following the competition’s conclusion; managing regular promotional content for the CityClickers moblog.
I worked with Pot Noodle’s PR agency to promote this competition on our sites. It offered winners tickets to the X Factor tour, and also one winner the chance to have lunch with an X Factor contestant. I published the competition post on Available For Panto, and also promoted the competition on My Chemical Toilet and TV Scoop.
